XCORE 2023/24

Become the leader others want to follow

Only 18% of managers demonstrate a high level of talent for managing others- meaning a shocking 82% of managers aren’t very good at leading people. (2016 Gallup poll)

In addition, 65% of workers would rather have a new manager than a pay raise.

Part of this dilemma resides in a disturbing trend. People get promoted into leadership positions because they are good at their job – even if they have no ability to lead others. Their lack of leadership mindset, skillset, and strategy may be costing your business thousands in turnover, lost reputation, and lost potential.

The good news is that these leaders can develop critical leadership qualities, but it takes being willing to examine their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, increasing their self-awareness. While increasing productivity is important (great managers boost employee productivity by an average of 11% per employee), changing the culture of an organization so that everyone feels heard and valued makes your organization someplace others seek out as a place they want to work and thrive.

This is why Jim Wehner, along with Chris and Armandee Drew, are bringing a yearlong immersion called XCORE for Atlanta leaders.
